Yellow Peaches

Celebrating the harvest, these organic juicy peaches are loaded with flavor, to be savored at any time of day. Try them in a mock-Belini pureed peach added to your favorite sparkling cider. Toss sliced into your salad with smoked gouda and a light vinaigrette. Grilled peaches are barbeque-friendly (spray grill with cooking oil first), simply brush halves with butter & lime juice, and grill for 3-5 minutes. The perfect cheese to pair with peaches? Try Muenster, Pecorino Toscano, or a traditional Farmhouse Cheddar.

Storage & Handling: To ripen, place fruit in a paper bag, fold the top over loosely, & keep at room temperature for 1-3 days. Check fruit daily. Tip: never use a plastic bag; may cause decay & can produce off-flavors. Peaches will peel more easily if blanched for a minute in boiling water then plunged in cold water for a minute to stop the effect of the heat. They discolor quickly when exposed to the air, so should be sprinkled with lemon or lime juice if not eaten or cooked immediately. Organic produce should not be stored with non-organic produce.
